When Jesus appointed the apostles, He called the poor and the rich, laborers and math nerds, the well-educated and fishermen, the religiously devoted and religious outcasts… even political enemies who probably  spent their whole lives hating one another…

Jesus’ call in our life is bigger than whatever we are living for… following Jesus is more important and has greater consequence that whatever else we love and care about.

The Gospel is bigger than all these things… in Jesus we are united to a greater mission.

As we move ever closer to our celebration of Christmas, we look at Psalm 96 and are of the object of our worship.

This will be a timely reminder as we're surrounded by so many shiny things seeking to grasp our attention and worship this holiday season.
