LOVE our enemies, DO GOOD to those who hate us, BLESS those who curse us, PRAY for those who abuse us, ALLOW someone to strike and steal from us, GIVE to those who beg…
We like the concept of these commands, but we struggle with the application of them to our lives. We desire that God would do these things for us, but we hate when He says to treat others how we want to be treated. Jesus calls us, once again, to something far greater and empowers us to do what He commands by His grace.
What did the Church first look like? What does that have to teach us about what it means to be the church today? Have we missed the mark? What are the characteristics that defined and set it apart so much that it changed the world? Listen with us as we consider these things and what it means for us today.
